Umno, NGO lodge police reports over Facebook insult of Kelantan Sultan

TUMPAT, Nov 12 — The Tumpat Umno division and a non-governmental organisation today lodged police reports against a Facebook account holder who allegedly insulted the Sultan of Kelantan yesterday.

The reports were made at the Tumpat police headquarters by the division's Umno Youth and Wanita, and the People of Kelantan Action Council (MTRK) who expressed regret at the account holder who used the name, 'Listen Basikal Tua'.

The division's Umno Youth chief, Rosidi Mahmud Kamaruddin, said the account holder's statement on the social site had insulted Sultan Muhammad V on his birthday and urged the authorities to take the necessary action.

He was speaking to reporters after lodging the report.

Tumpat MTRK chief Abdul Kadir Yakob said the account holder's statement had insulted the Sultan's position. — Bernama
