Zambry brushes aside reports of BN assemblymen meeting Anwar

KAMPAR, Nov 9 — A claim that two Barisan Nasional (BN) assemblymen from Perak had met opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to jump ship should not be entertained, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.

He brushed aside the Twitter post as a political ploy and an unreliable report.

“It’s normal for you to read all sorts of claims. Some even said that I had met some of their representatives to bring them over this side.

“So, the claim doesn’t hold water,” he told reporters after opening the state-level Principals and Headmasters 1BestariNet Professionalism Day here, today.

He was commenting on the Twitter @ rumahghuntoh post which stated that two BN assemblymen from Perak held a meeting with “@anwaribrahim” in Permatang Pauh, Penang on Thursday.

Zambry said he would not entertain such claim, instead he would continue to focus on the development of the state in the interest of the people. — Bernama
