KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 25 — The husband of murdered Norazita Abu Talib, 37, the AmBank officer who was fatally shot by a security guard, expressed his gratitude to the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) for successfully detaining three suspects in the robbery-cum-murder.

Irwan Kamarudin, 37, when contacted by Bernama, thanked the police for their swift action in apprehending the suspects and hoped the punishment meted out would commensurate with the act.

“Thanks once again to the police for escorting the body of my late wife to the village and for their presence until the end of the funeral,” he said.

On Wednesday at 6.20pm, Norazita was shot on the head with a pump gun by the bank’s security guard while opening the vault at its strong room in Jalan USJ Central 2, Subang Jaya here.

Today, police managed to recover RM20,000 of the RM450,000 cash robbed from the bank at a business centre in Subang Jaya after arresting a woman, in her 30s, believed to be the wife of the main suspect and two other family members at a house in Klang.

The two male family members, in their 20s, are working as security guards for different security firms and the money was kept by one of them at his workplace. — Bernama
