Driver charged with cheating bank officer of RM70,000

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 16 — A driver pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here today, on a charge of cheating a bank officer of RM70,000, early this year.

Mohd Fadil Che Mustapa, 27, from Taman Danau Desa near here is accused of cheating and deceiving bank officer Baharuddin Dollah, 46, by purportedly using false documents and inducing Baharuddin to hand over RM70,000 as a personal loan to him.

He allegedly committed the offence at Agro Bank, Jalan Permaisuri Bandar Tasik Permaisuri in Cheras at 2pm on January 30.

Judge Mat Ghani Abdullah set bail at RM15,000 in one surety and set October 23 for mention of the case. — Bernama
