King, Queen perform Eid al Adha prayers at National Mosque

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15 — The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah, and the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Hajah Haminah, performed Eid al Adha prayers at the National Mosque here today.
Their Majesties arrived at the mosque at 8.20 am and performed the prayers with a congregation of about 15,000 Muslims.
The worshippers recited the ‘takbir’ (glorification of Allah) and performed the Aidiladha prayers led by the Grand Imam of the National Mosque, Tan Sri Syaikh Ismail Muhammad.
Their Majesties also exchanged greetings with the congregation after the conclusion of the Aidiladha ‘khutbah’ (sermon) delivered by Syaikh Ismail. – Bernama
