KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 11 — The weekend Mail’s Weekly Runner (WR), a city and community newspaper, hit the streets today.

Staff of Redberry Group showed their support for the new publication by handing out copies of the new free paper along with 2,000 chicken pies to media specialists, agencies and advertisers yesterday.

The exercise, involving Redberry subsidiaries including Redberry Outdoor, Redberry Ambient, The Malay Mail, Redberry Airport and Redberry Retail, was to introduce the paper to those within the industry.

Highlights of The Malay Mail for the past week, including investigative reports, are among the articles included in WR. Regular sections in the paper are arts and culture, entertainment, motoring, sports, health and wellness and home and living. It targets a readership of young professionals between the ages of 20 and 40.

Some 200,000 copies of WR will be distributed within the Klang Valley. It will also be included as a pullout in the Friday edition of The Malay Mail.

WR will also be available at airports, hypermarkets, condominiums, commercial centres, convenience stores, educational institutions and shopping malls.
