CM wants thorough investigation into MASWings crash

SANDAKAN, Oct 11 — Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman today extended his condolences to families of the deceased in MASWings’ Twin Otter plane crash in Kudat.

He also wished for a speedy recovery for those who were injured in the 2.50pm incident yesterday.

Meanwhile, Musa wants a thorough investigation on the cause of the crash that claimed two lives and left two others injured.

“I also want those involved in the investigation to render their full cooperation to the authorities,” he said in a statement here today.

The plane which had earlier departed from Kota Kinabalu overshot the Kudat Airport runway and crashed into a house at Kampung Sinsan, Kudat, about 190km from here.

A passenger, Tan Ah Chai, 96, succumbed to his injuries at about 5pm at Kudat Hospital and MASwings co-pilot Marc Joel Bansh, 23, died at 9.05pm. — Bernama
