KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 3 — The 1Malaysia Licence Aid (BL1M) secretariat is not able to trace 19,432 out of 139,434 applicants, said its secretary Mohamad Faiz Yaacob today.

“This is a big problem as the process involves a third party, namely the driving institutes,” he told a press conference here. BL1M is an Umno Youth initiative, under the management of the Urban Affairs Secretariat, which is aimed at providing cheaper B2 motorbike licence to youths.
According to BL1M statistics, only 18,446 of the 139,434 registered applicants have completed the course to obtain a temporary licence.
Meanwhile, MyEG Group executive director Datuk Raja Munir Shah Raja Mustapha said that applicants who failed the computer test three times were now allowed to re-sit the test until they pass. — Bernama
