IPOH, Sept 25 — Another report has been lodged with the registrar of societies (RoS) against MCA, this time from within.
This is the second complaint lodged against MCA. Last Wednesday, DAP lodged a report with RoS following The Malay Mail’s front page report on six questionable members at its Taman Tasik Jaya branch in Negri Sembilan published a day earlier.
Thong remained bitter with the party headquarters for failing to address complaints regarding irregularities in the division.
Thong, who was ousted at the division election on Sunday after losing to Datuk Chew Wai Khoo, has now left the matter to the RoS.
“I am not upset with the defeat but extremely disappointed our complaints were ignored by the party headquarters. We requested that the division election be postponed to allow the headquarters to investigate the matter but it did not happen,” said Thong.
Thong had, during the run-up to the elections, claimed a member under the division had nominated himself to contest in two branches.
He said a branch chairman was declared a bankrupt and he had documents to prove it, and alleged certain forms were forged.
