KUALA LUMPUR, 10 August — Veteran journalist and musician Errol de Cruz has died of a heart attack on Saturday, The Star reported today.
He was taken to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre when he said he was feeling unwell, but was pronounced dead at the centre later.
Having started out his career in journalism at The Star, the late journalist went on to work at The New Straits Times, a stint as executive at Noize Recordings as well as in the public relations line.
Before his death, he was a copy editor at The Malay Mail for the entertainment and lifestyle section as well as singing and playing guitar for the Two Hats Gang band.
He leaves behind his wife Alice Andrew and their four children. A wake will be held at 28, PJS 7/7B, Bandar Sunway.
