Three burnt to death in Sandakan fire

SANDAKAN, July 27 — A woman and two girls were burnt to death in a dawn fire in Kampung Muhibbah here.
Firemen found the bodies of physically-challenged Juliana Sikin, 24, her younger sister Kamisah, 17, and their niece Nurnilam Sari, 6, in the debris of their house that was destroyed by the 5.40am fire.
A neighbouring house was damaged by the fire, said Sandakan Fire and Rescue chief of operations Johny Yap.
He said the bodies of Juliana and Kamisah were found in an embrace in the bathroom.
The bodies were sent to the Duchess of Kent Hospital, he added. — Bernama
