KUALA LUMPUR, July 19 — Two men believed to be foreigners broke into a house in Puchong early today and shot a businessman in the right arm, police said.

Serdang Police chief ACP Abdul Razak Elias said the men fled in a white Chevrolet car they had parked in front of the house.

The men had gained entry into the house of Beh Chee Kong, 38, in Taman Kinrara at about 6.30 am by breaking the lock of a grille and opening the glass sliding door, he said, adding that they had not looted the house.

Beh and his family were asleep after having returned home late from a birthday party for a son, he said.

He said Beh and his wife realised there were intruders in the house and shouted for help, and one of the men fired a shot at them.

Abdul Razak said Beh chased after the intruders but they drove off. — Bernama
