KUALA BESUT, July 19 — PAS has challenged Umno to a debate in Kuala Besut.

Its vice president Datuk Husam Musa said he would invite Parti Keadilan Rakyat strategy director Rafizi Ramli to represent PAS and the opposition and Communication and Multimedia minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek who is also an Umno Supreme Council member, to represent Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN).

Husam further proposed that the debate be conducted openly after the tarawih prayers tomorrow night.

“Hopefully with Ahmad Shabery’s participation the debate would get live coverage through RTM,” he said. — Bernama
