RM44m spent on overseas visits by delegations from PM’s office

KUALA LUMPUR, July 17 — A total of RM44.071 million was spent by the delegations from the Prime Minister’s Office for visits overseas from March 2008 to May this year.

This was disclosed by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim in his written reply to Nga Kor Ming (DAP-Taiping) at the Dewan Rakyat sitting today.

Nga wanted to know the total expenses paid for visits by the prime minister abroad from March 2008 until May 2013.

For the record, the prime minister in March 2008 was Datuk Seri (now Tun) Abdullah Ahmad Badawi while Datuk Seri Najib Razak took over the post from April 3, 2009 until now. — Bernama
