SHAH ALAM, July 12 — A former cashier at UAE Exchange Malaysia Sdn Bhd was charged in the Sessions Court here today with seven counts of criminal breach of trust (CBT), involving RM55,101.66 belonging to his employer, last year.
On the first to the sixth count, he is charged with committing CBT, involving RM31,753.50, belonging to UAE Exchange Malaysia Sdn Bhd which was entrusted to him.
On the seventh count, Ragupathy, together with another person still at large, was charged with committing CBT, involving RM23,348.16 which also belonged to the company.
The offences were allegedly committed at the company premises at No: 11, Lintang Batu Tiga Kawasan 18, Klang near here between Aug 11, 2012 and Oct 1, 2012.
Judge Ramesh allowed him to be freed on a bail of RM9,000 in one surety on all charges and set Aug 19 for mention.
Ragupathy was also ordered to surrender his passport to the court.
Deputy public prosecutor Mohd Raimi Mohd Ramli prosecuted, while Ragupathy was unrepresented. – Bernama
