KUALA LUMPUR, July 12 — The Dewan Rakyat last night approved the motion of thanks on the royal address at the opening the first meeting of the first session of the 13th Parliament on June 25.

Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia announced that the motion was approved as it garnered more support than objections.

A motion for a division to be called was tabled by Datuk Shamsul Anuar Nasarah (BN-Lenggong).

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his deputy Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin also took part in the voting.
