KUALA LUMPUR, June 20 – Two Pakistani men were charged in the Ampang Magistrate’s Court today with the murder of an American pastor last month.

Shaheen Murad, 37, and Hassan Raza, 21, and two others still at large, are alleged to have killed David James Ginter, 62, at No 2, Lorong 2A, Taman Sri Ukay, Hulu Kelang, Ampang Jaya here between 5.30pm on May 3 and 10.45am on May 4.

No plea was recorded from the two unemployed accused, who face the death penalty under section 302 of the Penal Code.

Magistrate Noor Farah Hazwani Osman fixed July 18 for mention. Deputy public prosecutor S. Purnima appeared for the prosecution while the duo were not represented.

On June 13, a Pakistani security guard, Shahbaz, 25, was charged with the same offence, and the case was fixed for mention on July 18. – Bernama
