KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 31 — Pokémon fans in South-east Asia have something big to celebrate in 2027 — the biggest Pokémon tournament in the world is coming to Singapore in 2027.

The Pokémon Company announced the news after the conclusion of the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in California, with the dates revealed to be August 13th to 15th though no ticket sales for the event have been announced as yet.

As to where, the venue will be the Singapore EXPO in Tampines, that (according to their website) spans 123,000 square metres of event space. 

Pokémon fans who have been waiting for a new movie can also rejoice. 

Pokémon: Wild Card, an all-new feature-length animated movie has been confirmed for early 2027, produced with STORY inc. and CloverWorks.

For players of the newly released Pokémon Champions game, the Z Mega Evolutions Pokemon will be making an appearance from September 9 this year. Look forward to adding Mega Lucario Z, Mega Garchomp Z and Mega Absol Z to your lineup.
