KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 — The Walt Disney Company has announced that “D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event” will take place in Singapore for the first time in 2027.
Over the years, this immersive event has evolved into the premier global celebration of Disney storytelling and fandom.
The event is a multi-day celebration for Disney fans, designed to bring audiences closer to the worlds of Disney.
It features live stage presentations, exclusive announcements, interactive experiences, and specially curated merchandise, offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at upcoming projects, stories, and characters across Disney’s entertainment universe.
The event was launched in 2009 by D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, and its name “D23” carries a special meaning, with the “D” standing for Disney and “23” referencing the year Walt Disney opened his first studio in Hollywood in 1923.

“D23 Asia will bring these fans together as a community to celebrate the powerful connection they have with our stories, characters, and experiences, and to get an exciting look at what lies ahead,” he added.

The event is set to bring together Disney fans from across Asia Pacific and beyond, alongside stars and storytellers from Hollywood and around the world, uniting global communities through shared fandom, beloved characters, and immersive experiences.
