KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 4 — Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown has launched its new Sunday Family Brunch at Midtown Brasserie, a weekly dining experience designed to bring families together through food, fun and creativity.

The concept, crafted by Executive Chef Jonas Juchli, reimagines the traditional buffet as a family-centred feast where children are the guests of honour.

“In my culture, Sunday is sacred — a day dedicated to family and exceptional food,” said the Swiss-German chef.

“We’ve recreated that feeling here: a place where parents can relax over a gourmet journey while their children embark on their own adventure.”

That adventure includes a “Little Chefs” zone where children can decorate cupcakes, make candy floss and learn noodle crafting.

There’s also a kids’ buffet serving mini burgers, fries and mac and cheese, alongside live entertainment from a magician and balloon artist.

Adults, meanwhile, are treated to a spread that ranges from fresh bakery selections and salads to live stations featuring seafood and sashimi, grilled meats, laksa, satay and international dishes like nasi lemak, butter chicken, dim sum and chilli crab.

The launch also marked the start of a collaboration with the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation National Centre (KDSF-NC), which contributed children’s artwork for the kids’ menu.

General manager of Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown Till Martin said the partnership reflects the hotel’s commitment to community engagement.

“We are so proud of the children’s beautiful work,” he said. “This partnership allows us to share their talents with our guests and create a lasting impact beyond our restaurant.”

Each kids’ menu features a QR code linking directly to KDSF-NC’s donation page to support its daily operations.
