KUALA LUMPUR, April 13 — Pearl, a two-year-old chihuahua, has been named the world’s shortest dog by the Guinness World Records (GWR).
She measures 9.14cm in height and 12.7cm in length, which is around the same size of a dollar bill.
In a statement, GWR said Pearl was related to the previous record holder, Miracle Milly, who passed away in 2020.
Pearl is the daughter of one of Milly’s identical sisters.
Pearl’s owner Vanesa Semler said they are blessed to have her.
"And to have this unique opportunity to break our own record and share with the world this amazing news,” she said.
According to Semler, Pearl enjoys eating high-quality food like chicken and salmon besides dressing up.
