PETALING JAYA, Oct 21 — An event organiser in the UK had to remove their Halloween display featuring disfigured children’s toys and dolls after they were deemed inappropriate by local residents.

Some of the dolls were burnt while others featured bent limbs as they lay face down at the foot of the display with blood on their backs, reported Mirror UK.

Among the other decorations that added to the ‘horrifying’ window display at Gloucester included a throne made of skulls and a crucifix covered with nails hammered into it.

Residents who were unhappy with the window wrote to the organiser, Frightmare, saying: "We do not want our children to see this unsuitable window scene.”

In return, Frightmare apologised, saying:

"Dear concerned locals and residents.

"We would like to clarify that no babies (or dolls) were harmed in the making of this window display.

"However, we apologise for any distress caused and have removed the doll parts as requested. Happy Halloween,” read the post.

Frightmare also posted a public apology on their Facebook page.
