NEW YORK, April 24 — RuPaul is the latest celebrity to sign up to the beauty business.
The drag icon and RuPaul’s Drag Race host has teamed up with makeup artist Mally Roncal’s brand Mally Beauty on a cosmetics collection that will span 10-12 pieces, PopSugar reports. The series is set for release early in 2019.
"Ru has always stayed true to who he is and unapologetically puts himself out there,” Roncal told the site.
"He exemplifies self-acceptance and has inspired and taught millions of people to love themselves.
This seamlessly blends with Mally Beauty’s mantra: What makes you different makes you beautiful! I feel blessed to have the honour of working with RuPaul and have him connected to my brand.”
The collaboration sees RuPaul join a growing club of increasingly diverse stars making their mark on the beauty industry.
Recent examples of brands opting to work with a wider range of collaborators include vlogger Patrick Starrr’s collaborations with makeup giant MAC, and the influencer Marvyn Macnificent’s partnership with BH Cosmetics. — AFP-Relaxnews
