MEXICO CITY, April 10 — Dogs with a sweet tooth can satisfy their cravings at this Mexico City ice cream shop which serves up frozen treats specially made for animals.

Shop owner Mauricio Montoya says the puppy ice cream, which he created, is safe for humans, but is especially designed for pets and can even aide in their digestive systems.

The ice cream is made of natural yogurt and lactobacilli bacteria which help in digestion, while normal ice cream can cause pain and diarrhoea in dogs.

He calls the ice cream ‘heladog" combing the Spanish word for ice cream, ‘helado’ with the English word ‘dog’. — Reuters
