PARIS, April 6 ― The cosmetics giant has picked the young French actress and model as its latest global brand ambassador. Aged just 16 years old, Thylane Blondeau is the youngest brand ambassador in the history of L'Oréal Paris.
L'Oréal Paris announced the news on Thylane Blondeau's 16th birthday, Tuesday, April 5. The daughter of French TV presenter Véronika Loubry and French soccer player Patrick Blondeau will represent the brand globally and will feature in upcoming advertising campaigns. She joins a prestigious lineup of L'Oréal Paris ambassadors, including internationally renowned models such as Eva Longoria, Barbara Palvin, Karlie Kloss and Isabeli Fontana.
"It is such an honor for me to become part of L'Oréal Paris big family ― L'Oréal is one of the best beauty brands, and it was always a dream of mine to work with L'Oréal. I'm just turning 16 years old and will work alongside beauty models and ambassadors that I always admired. That is the best present ever!,” said Thylane Blondeau.
A connected muse
She may only be 16 years old, but Thylane Blondeau is far from a novice in the world of fashion and modeling. In fact, she landed her first modeling job aged just four years old, starring in a Jean Paul Gaultier catwalk show at Paris Fashion Week. She has since modeled for a host of fashion houses and designers, including Paul & Joe Sister, Eleven Paris and recently Dolce & Gabbana. Thylane Blondeau also walk
The model's young age is an added boon for the beauty brand, whose latest ambassador grew up with social media, perfectly mastering her image and online communication. Thylane Blondeau is present on Snapchat, Twitter and Facebook, and has no less than a million followers on Instagram.
"Thylane is... the voice of a generation that is more connected than any other before, but which communicates with images rather than words,” said Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, Global Brand President of L'Oréal Paris.
The young model appeared at last year's Cannes Film Festival representing L'Oréal Paris and is expected to return to the French Riviera for this year's event. ― AFP-Relaxnews
