NEW YORK, March 24 — Clarisonic is capitalising on its cult beauty status to launch an electronic foundation brush.
The brand, which has made a name for itself thanks to its rotating deep-cleansing facial brushes, is preparing to debut its new Sonic Foundation Brush at the end of this month.
The detachable soft bristle brush head, which uses the company’s patented oscillating technology, has been designed to blend and contour liquid or stick foundation and other products such as BB/CC cream, concealer, liquid highlighters and contour products, by generating more than 18,000 "micro-blends” per minute. Users simply dot their makeup on their complexions and use the brush to blend it over the face, making it great news for contouring fans, as a promotional video shows.
According to Clarisonic, 60 seconds is all the time required to achieve an even and flawless result, without the time-consuming and fiddly routine required by using standard brushes and sponges.
Clarisonic first developed its Sonic skin cleansing concept in 2004, and the company has gone on to sell more than 15 million of its devices around the world.
The Sonic Foundation Brush is compatible with Clarisonic’s existing Mia 1, Mia 2, Mia FIT, and Smart Profile cleansing tools and can be detached for cleaning purposes. It will go on sale on March 30 and is available to pre-order from www.clarisonic.com for US$35 (RM155). — AFP-Relaxnews
