Singer Alicia Keys wins the awards for the boldest beauty move of 2016, hands down. In June, the star wrote an essay titled "Alicia Keys: Time to Uncover,” in which she talked about the pressure on women to feel "skinny, or sexy, or desirable, or perfect” and explored going makeup free. Later that summer she rocked up to the MTV VMAs completely bare-faced, and hasn't looked back since.
