MOSCOW, Aug 29 — Military bands from around the world staged a colourful performance Saturday night in front of the Kremlin in the heart of the Russian capital.
The festival, called Spasskaya Bashnya" or Kremlin's Saviour Tower, featured bands doing a wide range of music — from classical pieces and military marches to popular modern melodies.
A dazzling light show was projected on the walls of St Basil's cathedral and the festival ended with spectacular fireworks.
It is the seventh time Muscovites have had a rare chance to see military musicians from various countries playing in Red Square.
This year's festival attracted over 1,000 performers from 12 countries in Europe and Asia and will last until September 4. — Reuters
