‘Run, Hide, Tell’: This clip will show you what to do during a terrorist attack (VIDEO)

SINGAPORE, May 10 — Once something uncommon, the reality is now we have to be prepared to face the possibility of a terror attack whether we like it or not.   

And the sad truth is most of us would not know what to do or the best way to react in the rare event of a terrorist attack. Thankfully, there are some clips available that can help us understand just what needs to be done during emergency situations like this one by the Singapore Police Force.

According to The Straits Times, the Singapore Police released this clip to educate the public on what to do in the event of a terrorist attack to raise awareness and better prepare the community.

With a key message of “Run, Hide, Tell”, the short clip posted on its social media channels instruct the public through the three key actions they should take.  

The crucial first step is to “Run” or evacuate the premises soon as possible should you find yourself under attack.

The next step if you can’t find an escape route is to “Hide” which involves find covering and trying to stay out of sight as best as you can. Remember to keep quiet and switch your phones to silent mode.

The third action, “Tell”, involves calling the police or anyone you can get your hands on to provide details on your location and about the attackers.
