LONDON, April 14 ― You can dance, you can jive, but you’ll never be quite as cool as Lope, the dancing baby gorilla.

Zoogoer Helen Fairhead was at Britain’s Twycross Zoo when she captured the amazing footage, which sees the three-year-old male chimp twirl around with his arms out, akin to a ballerina.

The clip has quickly gone viral, hitting more than a million views.

A spokeswoman for the zoo told MailOnline that Lope was simply having fun. “He’s basically just playing. It’s natural behaviour and it's important for young apes to learn.”
