This time round, the art and activism bazaar is teaming up with human rights organisations Amnesty International Malaysia, Lawyers for Liberty and Suaram to celebrate freedom, justice and democracy in a fun atmosphere.

As usual, regulars can expect all manner of homemade crafts and DIY goodies to drawings, sculptures and zines by over 80 vendors.

The bazaar’s programme comprises 11 events, the highlights of which include a ‘live’ tournament of the election-themed card game Politiko between politicians and civil society leaders, a book launch by Sungai Siput MP Dr Jeyakumar and a feminist conversation on women in power.

In addition, Lawyers for Liberty and Amnesty International Malaysia will be presenting two forums entitled “Watch Me, Watch Me” and “Liberty or Security: Choose!” respectively.

Suaram, meanwhile, will be holding two sessions of Cerita Perjuangan, featuring choreographer Bilqis Hijjas, and student activists Khalid Ismath and Syed Saddiq.

Balloon artists, Supa Dupa, are also slated to give away free yellow balloons.
