KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 — The Malaysian Shorts programme is back this Friday with more added attractions.

Malaysian Shorts is a platform that offers viewers to get to know more about our talented local filmmakers through the screening of short films that are based on big ideas.

Presented by Kelab Seni Filem Malaysia, this screening will be featuring four titles and it will be held at the Content Malaysia Pitching Centre at Platinum Sentral in KL.

The four new short films will be curated and presented by James Lee and the directors will also be present to talk about their films at the end of the screenings.

The films include: She (adaptation from a short story by Bissme) by James Lee (15 minutes), RM10 (adaptation of a short story from the book Cerpen Regina Ibrahim) by Emir Ezwan (10 minutes), The Happy Ending by Dick Chua (45 minutes) and The Incredibly Strange Tale Of The Man Who Lost His Love But Bought It Back With A Packet Of Duck Rice by Gavin Yap (18 minutes).

And as an added attraction, there will be a TANYAKP question and answer session whereby Finas director general Datuk Kamil Othman will have a frank and open dialogue with filmmakers and members of the industry on pressing issues.

The TANYAKP session will take place before the short film screenings at 7pm. Malaysian Shorts 2016 will kick off at 8.30pm and seating is absolutely free, so be sure to get there early to reserve your seats.
