Malay Mail

VILNIUS, March 16 — No snazzy tricks of the eye or sudden appearances by cute cats here, but incredibly this slow-motion video of a tomato being cut into slices in reverse has gone viral.

The ‘reverse therapy’ video has been watched over 70,000 times with fans claiming they find it “relaxing”.

The three-and-a-half-minute video starts with a neatly sliced tomato strewn on a wooden chopping board before a pair of hands with a knife appears and starts slicing it in reverse — reassembling the tomato in slow motion.

Based in Vilnius, Lithuania, Mail Online reported that its creator Linas Lakavicius runs a small manufacturing business with his friend — whose hands are seen in the clip — that also involves video production.

He told the website that the worldwide response to their work has been “amazing”.

The pair have also made films featuring kiwis and bell peppers being sliced in reverse.

We’re not sure about you, but we certainly find the sound of the knife slicing through the tomato flesh strangely gratifying.
