NEW YORK, Jan 26 — Last September, Martin Shkreli, then-chief executive of Turing Pharmaceuticals, acquired the license to manufacture an old drug used to treat HIV patients. He quickly raised the price 5,000 per cent.

Overnight he became the sometime surrogate for all things wrong with Big Pharma and capitalism. But the negative attention was no deterrent for Shkreli. Instead, he basked in the harsh spotlight, embraced his notoriety, and began live-streaming his life on the Internet. Even now, facing decades in prison if convicted of unrelated securities fraud charges, he can still be found online.
