SALT LAKE CITY, Nov 24 — A French daredevil, who claims that he would “rather die from passion than boredness (sic),” attempted the world’s longest slackline walk on November 15.

The successful attempt was captured in a video entitled “Across the Sky” by Camp4Collective and posted on Vimeo.

Théo Sanson walked 1,617 feet between two 400-feet-high rock formations called The Rectory and Castleton Tower in Castle Valley in the US state of Utah.

Even more amazing is the fact a team of 15 was needed to stage the stunt, according to Mail Online.

The website added that the experienced climbers scaled to the top of the two locations to set up the slackline.

If the distance of 1,617 feet is confirmed, the 29-year-old slackliner will have set a new world record for the extreme sport.
