LOS ANGELES, Oct 18 — Peacock hair? That’s so last month, people.

Meet Galaxy hair, the new trend making the rounds on social media this week.

No guesses as to what inspired this look… Yup, it involves colouring your mane according to the naturally occurring shades of the cosmos, including the nebulas, and the Aurora Borealis, along with other galactic references.

According to Marie Claire, Galaxy hair was dreamed up by Jenny Regec, owner and lead colourist at Brooklyn-based salon The Paint Box.

She described the astronomical look as consisting of “multi tonal hair colour flowing from blues, purples, greens, sometimes reds as well as silver tone — typically more pigmented and less pastel.”
