NEW YORK, Oct 12 — Who would have a thought a chewing gum commercial could tug at your heartstrings.

Extra gum outdid itself with the brand’s newest advertisement featuring a tale of young love. The ad, which is titled “The Story Of Sarah and Juan” follows two young lovers throughout their relationship, right from the very first meeting.

Needless to say, the couple mark their special moments each step of the way by enjoying a piece of Extra gum, and we mysteriously see Juan drawing on the wrappers after each milestone.

The two-minute clip features the ups and downs of any young romance, and in the end, we get to see what Juan has been drawing all the while: He drew illustrations of the major moments of their relationship that culminates with a sketch of the proposal that was about to happen.

The ad is set to Haley Reinhart singing Elvis Presley’s gorgeous ballad “Can’t Help Falling In Love” and it is literally the perfect song to set the mood and tone for what the story entails.
