KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 11 — Electric Run 2015 has been postponed, organisers The Livescape Group announced today.

In a statement, Livescape cited the Bersih 4.0 rally, which is scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur from August 29 to 30, as the main reason for the postponement.

The run will now take place on September 12, instead of the original date of August 30.

The statement from Livescape read in part: “After recent consultation with the relevant authorities and thorough consideration by the organising team at The Livescape Group, we have made a conscious decision to postpone Electric Run 2015.

“We understand that this decision may cause inconvenience to some runners, specifically those travelling from overseas or other states to join us.

“However, we hope that you would also understand that it was a decision that was not taken lightly and one that we had to make in the interest of your safety and security.

“The Livescape Group takes the safety and well being of our patrons very seriously and it is a principle we will never compromise on even if it means potential financial losses from our end.”

Livescape added that those who will not be able to participate, due to the change in date, would be offered refunds.

Alternatively, they may opt to transfer their race registration to a friend or family member.

Those seeking refunds and transfers can contact support@livescape.asia.

All refund and transfer requests must be made by August 21, 2015, together with the payment receipt.

The refund process is expected to take 30 days.

Meanwhile, all participants, who can still to take part in the run, may pick up their race pack as planned from August 22 to 23 at the Bargain Corner, Rainforest at the 1Utama Shopping Mall.
