PARIS, July 21 — A new exhibition dedicated to French fashion house Chanel will open in London in October.

“Mademoiselle Privé” will present work by founder Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel and her successor, creative director Karl Lagerfeld at the Saatchi Gallery.

UK fashion magazine Dazed said the exhibition will trace the maison’s illustrious history — from Coco Chanel’s original vision to Lagerfeld’s present-day interpretations of it.

Displays will encompass haute couture, perfume Chanel No 5 and re-editions of the 1932 haute joaillerie collection “Bijoux de Diamants” that took centre stage at Chanel’s casino-themed haute couture show earlier this month.

“Mademoiselle Privé” refers to the words that graced the door of Coco Chanel’s workshop on the Rue Cambon in Paris.

The French fashion house uses the term to refer to their hand-painted, embroidered and precious stone-covered luxury watches.

The exhibition website also promises a visitor companion app, Dazed added.

Running from October 13 to November 1, this is one exhibition that Chanel fans wouldn’t want to miss.
