LONDON, June 26 — Giving a whole new meaning to the phrase “puppy love”, “TinDog” is the perfect dating app for dogs and their owners.

Created by London-based online dog and cat boarding site Holidog, the app aims to help like-minded pet owners meet for the purposes of friendship or dating. The app uses geographic location to suggest local matches and, similar to Tinder, users can swipe through profiles.

Users of the Tindog app have the option to select the criteria for the types of people they want to meet. They can also add a profile for their pet and put up pictures of themselves as well as their pet.

When both users choose each other, a match is formed and they can chat and arrange a pet play-date.

According to founder and CEO Julien Muller: “Dogs bring so much joy and love, that they really have the power to connect us. That’s why we wanted to make it easy for dog lovers to meet new people around them who feel the same way.”  

The Tindog app is available for free for Android and iOS devices.
