HOBART, June 16 — A team of basketball trick-shot experts have set a new world record by making a shot from 126.5m above the ring.

How Ridiculous also smashed their own previous world record of 91m, which they set with a shot from the top of the Euromast tower in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

The group was created in 2009, when the friends started “getting together to make trick shot videos and upload them on YouTube”, according to their website.

The team told Australia’s “Sunday Night” TV show that they had to wait out the weather for nearly three days.

Once conditions were right, it took them around five hours to nail the shot.
