PARIS, March 6 — For the FIFA World Cup, taking place in Brazil in June, the French national football team will wear a new away jersey with a retro design.

The players on the French national team will wear a vintage look in Brazil. Nike, the team's official supplier, has designed the new away jersey with a classic grey and white striped pattern and a rooster emblem inspired by that of the French team in 1958.

The new uniform also includes navy blue shorts made with a denim-like fabric, calling to mind the city of Nîmes, where the fabric was born in the 17th century. The shorts contain silk and wool.

The French national team's new away jersey is available for pre-order at Nike.com and will arrive in stores from April 3 at €120 (around RM540) for the authentic jersey, €85 (around RM380) for the replica, €75 (around RM335) for the women's version and €70 (around RM310) for the children's version. — AFP Relaxnews
