NEW YORK, Feb 27 —The 64-year-old actress was unveiled as the face of the brand’s new beauty line.
Jessica Lange is the debut face of Marc Jacobs Beauty in a new campaign and short film shot by David Sims (who also photographed Miley Cyrus for the label’s Spring-Summer 2014 ready-to-wear campaign).
Guests at a glamorous event hosted by Jacobs in Paris last night were treated to a clip of the Academy Award-winning actress softly repeating the lyrics to “Somewhere Over The Rainbow,” and the brand also tweeted the news with a shot of Lange.
Produced in collaboration with French cosmetics company Sephora, the collection first hit US stores in August and begins rolling out March 6 in Europe. Products include lip and nail colors, foundations, concealers, powders, blushers and eyeshadows, and there’s also a selection of brushes and makeup bags.
Perhaps the gracefully aging beauty look is becoming a trend? Yesterday Nars also announced its latest campaign face: actress Charlotte Rampling, who is set to appear in a campaign celebrating the brand’s 20th anniversary this fall. — AFP-Relaxnews
