NEW YORK, June 15 — If you want to dine at only the best of the best, you'll need to head to Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy, which has been picked as the world’s best restaurant in 2016.

Owned by renowned chef Massimo Bottura, it also happens to be the first ever Italian restaurant to come up tops on the lauded The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2016 list.

“I want to thank everyone because it’s been so hard, our job is all about art,” AFP reported chef Bottura saying to his cheering supporters.

Closer to home, Singapore’s Restaurant Andre bagged the No 32 spot, becoming Singapore’s best performer on the list.

Restaurant Andre is also the only Singapore restaurant to figure on the top 50 list.
