NEW YORK, May 9 — Fancy a meal of steak and potatoes? But also fancy a plate of cheesy nachos? How about trying out this steak and potato nacho recipe then.
This clip from YouTube channel Tasty will show you how you can easily whip up this tasty and hearty steak and potato nacho recipe that will surely impress your dinner guests.
You’ll need these ingredients for this recipe: 2 sliced russet potatoes, 1lb skirt steak, 4 tbsp olive oil, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese, 2 tsp paprika, 2 minced green onions, sour cream, salt and pepper to taste and if wanted salsa.
Place the sliced potatoes in a large bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper and paprika. Next lay the potatoes on a baking sheet and bake at 450°F/ 230°C for 20 minutes.
Season the skirt steak with salt and pepper and cook on high heat for roughly 3 minutes on each side, for medium-rare. If you prefer your meat well done, cook longer. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing into cubes.
In a cast iron skillet or baking sheet, arrange the cooked potatoes into a heap. Top with steak, then cheddar and Monterey jack cheese. Broil for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Serve with sour cream, salsa, green onions or any topping of choice. Enjoy!
