LOS ANGELES, July 5 — There was a major hue and cry when the New York Times recently tweeted a recipe for green pea guacamole adapted from New York’s ABC Cocina restaurant.

“Add green peas to your guacamole. Trust us,” the Times told its 17.7 million followers.

The BuzzFeed team decided to try out the recipe and share their thoughts on it.
