NEW YORK, July 4 — McDonald’s has been given the dubious distinction of selling the worst burgers in America in a new fast food survey.
According to the results of Consumer Reports’ latest reader poll, burgers from the Golden Arches were named the worst-tasting sandwiches of all the major fast food brands.
If you want a good burger fast, more than 32,400 readers of Consumer Reports recommend passing the local McDonald’s and hitting up chains like Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Smashburger or Fuddruckers, which received the highest scores.
To compile their ranking, editors at the magazine asked subscribers to rate their most delicious and least delicious fast food meals in a ranking that spanned burgers, fried chicken, burritos, sandwiches, and pizza.
In the category of burritos, Taco Bell landed at the bottom of the heap while its more upscale rival Chipotle got the thumbs up; Subway, the biggest fast food chain in the world in terms of locations, also received a lackluster score, while international brand Panera Bread scored well.
Fan of chicken burgers? Avoid KFC and opt for Chick-fil-A, readers advise.
The full results of the survey appear in the August issue of Consumer Reports.
In the meantime, here are some of the fast food chains that received top marks:
-Chipotle Mexican Grill
-Firehouse Subs
-Five Guys Burgers and Fries
- Jason’s Deli
-Jersey Mike’s subs
-Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches
-McAlister’s Deli
-Panera Bread
