KENTUCKY, Jan 31 — Mila Kunis has moved on from luxury handbags to good old-fashioned Kentucky bourbon and joins a long line of celebrities to become the face of a spirit brand.
American bourbon maker Jim Beam announced that Kunis will front the brand as part of its first global marketing campaign, which will hit 100 international markets.
Rolling out next month, Kunis will be featured in TV ads across the US, Australia and Germany to start.
The brand claims she was chosen for her love of bourbon.
Jim Beam’s origins can be traced back to 1795 as a family business, a fact the company will focus on in their “Make History” campaign.
Kunis joins a roster of carefully selected celebrities recruited by alcohol and spirits companies to represent their brands, but also to convey a certain lifestyle.
Rémy Martin, for instance, enlisted Robin Thicke; Johnnie Walker Scotch has been fronted by “Mad Men” star Christina Hendricks; and burlesque star Dita Von Teese is the ambassador for Cointreau.
Jim Beam is just one of Kunis’s product endorsement deals. She was also the face of Christian Dior and is the ambassador for jeweller Gemfields. — AFP-Relaxnews
