Volkswagen Malaysia offers defensive driving course for college students
Malay Mail

KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 — If you are a young university student, here is a chance to improve your driving skills by taking part in the "Polo P” project, an initiative by Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM), dedicated to educating and empowering new licensed drivers with the skills and knowledge to stay safe on the roads.

The "Polo P” project will take place at selected college and university campuses, and over the course of a weekend, participants will be taught basic car maintenance, visual checkpoints, proper sitting and steering positions, and defensive driving which includes emergency braking, and a slalom course.

All driving exercises will be conducted in the Volkswagen Polo 1.6L hatchback – a cat that might be small in stature, but is certainly big on fun. The perfect ride for those who are young – and young at heart, the Polo which comes equipped with a powerful 1.6-litre and a 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic, offers a zippy driving experience with a maximum torque of 153Nm, but sips fuel with a rated fuel consumption of only 6.3L per 100km.

The "Polo P” Project kicks off this weekend at the UTAR (Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman) Sungai Long campus.

Dates and campus venues are listed below:
