KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 6 ― Chevron Malaysia Limited, which carries the retail brand Caltex, today launched its Euro 5 compliant diesel fuel enhanced with Techron D, a new utlra-premium diesel product that is cleaner and provides more power and reliability with every fill.

This new ultra-premium diesel is an improved diesel containing Chevron's exclusive Techron D additive to control deposits, help maintain fuel injector cleanliness and enables optimum engine performance. The launch of this new product is in line with Chevron's commitment to offer excellent products, clean service stations and efficient services to meet their customers' needs without any compromise.

Developed with near-zero sulfur content, the new Caltex Power Diesel (Euro 5) with Techron D contains less than 10 parts/million (ppm) of sulfur, in comparisonto the current Euro 2M diesel fuel which contains 500ppm ― a factor of more than 50.

In a diesel engine, keeping the fuel injectors clean is critical as diesel feul injectors are prone to deposit formation. Deposits can upset the injector spray pattern and hinder the fuel-air mixture and thus can result in a decrease in fuel economy, engine performance and increase harmful emissions. Lab results on the new Caltex Power Diesel with Techron D has been proven to provide the following benefits:
